Thankfulness

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving, or at least a thought provoking one. My Thanksgiving day was kind of upsetting, but the day made me reevaluate what I am thankful for. So I thought I would list a few things.
1). The health of my family
2). A safe home
3). A country where I am free to believe in God's grace
4). Great Christian Roommates
5). The knowledeg that God is in controll
6). The knowledge that Christmas break is less then three weeks away
7). puzzle pieces
8). A great education
9). Underware
10). my special fish

What are you thankful for?

Bible verse of the night: Psalm 100:4 "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name."

"homesick"

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways

The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home
I close my eyes and I see your face

If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
In Christ, there are no goodbye

And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again
And I close my eyes and I see your face

If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Icy Hot

This weekend I went horse back riding and I shot clay pigeons. I had a wonderful time, but today I hurt soooooo bad. I have a huge bruise on my shoulder and all of my muscles in my neck, back and arms hurt like crazy! I was trying to figure out a way that I could make myself feel better and I remembered that my brother always used icy hot after his hockey games...so i decided that would work for me. Well, i've never used icy hot before and I didn't know how much to put on, so I lathered up and it wasn't working, so i put more on. Oh boy my arms and neck and back are tingling like crazy. There is no possible way to describe the sharp icy feeling and the burning hot feeling. But my muscles already feel better, and I think I'm getting "happy" off the smell!

Icy hot brings up an interesting thought. Don't you wish they made icy hot for your heart. Goes on icy to dull the pain, then gets hot to relax it away. Anytime someone upset you or you were emotionally drained for whatever reason you could just rub it on and you wouldn't feel the pain anymore. I think it would be great! I would buy stock in a product like that. Maybe sleep will help.

Bible verse of the night: Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."
