Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

December is here! Thank goodness... December means two weeks of high stress school, the children's musical, and then Relaxation! Thats the life of a privilidged middle class student in the United States of America. And thats whats scarey. Yesterday I was sitting in a drive through, waiting for my food when a homeless woman shuffled by. I watched her meander through the streets and business and for the first time in my life I was truely sad for a homeless person. That makes me a horrible person in that I am not living out Christ's call to be like him. I wish I could say I jumped out of the car and took her my food, but I didn't. I just sat there and watched and began thinking about my life and the ways I am blessed. I have a warm place to sleep at night, warm clothes to wear, warm food to eat, a warm family to love, but most importantly a warm soul, because Jesus Christ lives in me. But what about the people in this world that are missing the warmth? The physical warmth, the emotional warmth and the spiritual warmth? I have with in me a fire, lit by Christ, and I am not inviting people to share that warmth? How do I live a life where the heat Christ radiates to all those I come in contact with? How do I live a life where anyone can come to me, knowing they could find Christ, and find warmth? How do I become a light unto the world? This is my prayer this Christmas season...that God show me a way to live more for him.

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 22:2 "Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all."

Cool to hear. Wanna volunteer at the Rescue Mission with me when you get home? I'm calling them tomorrow to work out the schedule for when I'm going to be there - and it will probably be a good bit of time over the next month that I'm home.

I'm home :-D For a whole month :-D
