Goodbye

God chooses silly moments
ones that make us laugh
to remind us that life
is short; He brings joy
when peace can't be found
so our hearts don't collapse.
He reminds us that home
is not so far away; and
love is never gone. We
must cry to flush away
the bad, but laugh to
usher in the joy. When
the heart is weak
God gives strength through
laughter and reminds us
that goodbye is not forever.

Bible verse of the day: 1 Corinthians 15: 54-55 "When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immoratality, then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory.' Where O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting?"

This post helped me a lot. I have a friend whose mother just died.

Well, my uncle died last saturday, and I wrote this the night before his funeral. I'm glad that it was meaningful to someone other than myself.
